Our Process
OnTheWay is a revolutionary program designed to help recently honorably discharged veterans the opportunity to learn the skill required for a new career and to own their own business, giving them a meaningful and fulfilling career. Their training should be exactly the way the military taught them… hands-on. It is intended to be a modern-day apprenticeship program that offers the apprentice a payment stipend to live on while they learn the skills needed to learn a new career, and perhaps eventually start their own company
Who We Help
The target audience for OnTheWay is recently discharged veterans who served anything from three to six years who want to increase their marketability by learning a new skill. OnTheWay intends to recruit other companies that share their devotion to our nation’s veterans and are willing to hire them, teach them a new skill, and then either allow them to continue to work at a high level within their company or go out and start their own company. In coordination with USA Cares, we hope to enlist the help of many of the larger American corporations and small businesses across the country.
Advantages of OnTheWay
OnTheWay is the first program of its kind, targeting veterans and allowing them to enjoy the benefits of a paid apprenticeship. It affords them the opportunity to learn new skills while still providing for their families. There are other programs that offer training in certain areas of business but afford no way to focus directly and solely on the training. This is how the government trained these men and women in the first place. Wouldn’t it stand to reason that this might be a way for them to enjoy some success moving forward?
